I have just spent a fantastic 4 nights at Dacre Lakeside Park. I booked this as a surprise trip away for my boyfriends 30th, the surprise was on us however as the standard of the lodge exceeded all my expectations! We stayed in the Dragonsfly Watersedge and I would thoroughly recommend couples to book this lodge for a romantic getaway. The large bedroom contained a dressing room, and 4 poster bed facing a 32 inch flatscreen linked up to the DVD player in the living room which was great for lazy mornings! The bathroom was amazing with its huge, free standing bath and walk in shower - the pictures really do not do this place justice. The kitchen had everything you could want/need for a week away, and the living room again had a large 42 inch tv mounted on the wall in perfect view of your private hot tub - just slide the door open and you are all set for a night in front of the TV in the hot tub with a a glass of wine in hand! We overlooked the pond and our balcony was literally on the water meaning my boyfriend could fish from the balcony. The park is very quiet and peaceful, there is a large lake and various water sports/equipment hire available. There is not much else to do on site but there is plenty to do nearby, we visited York Dungeons, Flamingo Land (a bit overpriced at £25 entry fee per person, but really worth the money), and The Deep in Hull. The nearest supermarkets are in Beverley or Bridlington which are 10 or 20 minutes away by car, so I would recommend you stock up on food and drink before you go. The garage at the top of the road however does sell some bits and pieces and bottles of wine if you happen to run out! I felt the need to write a long review on this as we had the most fantastic week, and I don't feel the pictures and info provided quite do this place justice. I would recommend this park to both couples and families, as larger lodges are available. It really is worth a visit... 5 star!

My husband and I have just stayed at Dragonsfly Watersedge at Dacre Lakes.
I can honestly that this was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had!
The hot tub was fantastic as was the HUGE bath - we cannot wait to return!

I'd recommend this holiday to those wishing to get away from it all and to stay somewhere a little different than the usual hotel etc. It's a perfect get-away for those wishing to relax and enjoy a little luxury.

I booked this lodge for my boyfriends 21st birthday. When we turned up we were amazed at the quality of the lodge and the size of it! The bathroom was lovely with a nice big bath, and we especially enjoyed the fact that you could sit in the hot tub outside with the doors open and watch the TV. The information pack provided gave loads of details about surrounding places to go, the Chinese restaurant about 5 minutes down the road (by car) was very tasty - we ordered a takeaway so not to be away from the hot tub for too long! I would advise anyone to go to these lodges, we will be hopefully going back later in the year.

First impression - AMAZING, it beat all my expectations and more. On arrival at the park, the welcome and help was first rate, but not over powering. The lodge itself would be considered by me 5* - immaculate and homely, and the furnishings were modern and lovely. The rooms are large and spacious, (the pictures do not do it justice), and the hot tub was lovely and private. It was the type of break where no-one sees or bothers each other. The location is lovely and overall I will br returning this year, as quickly as possible!

It was snowing for most of the time but the lodge was so warm and comfortable, and the hot tub was wonderful. The management and staff were very friendly and helpful but never intrusive, and the local village had everything you could want, but there was a big supermarket a short drive away if needs be. I would recommend this holiday to anyone and I am hoping that we are able to go again next year - the best break I've had in years!

The whole experience was fantastic and I would recommend this holiday to anyone. The cabins were beautiful, warm and cosy, the hot tub was amazing (especially in the snow, which was a bonus), and the staff were helpful and friendly. A first class holiday and I am booking again straight away!!!

The lodges are very luxurious, and the managers of the park are very helpful, friendly and they make you feel very welcome at Dacre Park. We stayed in Dragonfly by the pond and it was a delight to have the ducks and swans visit us every morning as we lazed in the hot tub. It is near a lovely little town called "Beverley" which had a fabulous Christmas Fayre with all fresh, local produce. There are some fantastic pubs/restaurants nearby, and I would definitely stay there again.

I would recommend Dacre Lakeside Park to anyone - the place is extremely clean and well kept, and the lodges are the height of luxury with amazing decor and stunning bathrooms. The staff on site were fantastic, really helpful, approachable and nothing was too much trouble, plus there was always someone on hand to help if you had a question. After viewing the information and pictures online we wondered if the place could really be as nice as it looked, but believe me, it exceeded our expectations and I cannot wait to visit again!

I would definitely recommend this park/accommdation to both couples and families. My partner and I just wanted a completely relaxing break away and we had exactly that. The accommodation was fantastic - the images in the brochures do not do it justice!

We stayed here last year and have just got back home from another great experience at Dacre Lakeside Park, and we are already planning our break here for next year! There was nothing more relaxing than being sat in the hot tubs with a drink! I would recommend it to anyone that I haven't already!

We chose this as a romantic late break for our anniversary. However. my wife was unexpectedly booked in for surgery after we had booked the holiday but it turned out that it was an ideal place for her to recover - quiet and peaceful and the ducks were lovely and put a smile on my wife's face when they came to visit her each morning. I can safely say we will use the lodge holidays again as the standards are so high, in lodgings and location, that we want to go back for the romantic break we originally planned.

If your looking for a nice break, peace and quiet in a very tranquil setting you would be hard pushed to better Dacre park. Take some fishing tackle, we stopped in the Dragon Fly and fished from the balcony. The hot tub is super, the layout of the lodge was great, if there was a catch it was the fact we had to go home !

This was the first time we have stayed at Dacre Lakeside Park and we are seriously considering making this a yearly holiday. The lodge had everything you could possibly need to get started after a long journey, and the staff were happy to give directions to local shops and the nearest supermarket. The information pack did provide some ideas of things to do which we explored and thoroughly and enjoyed.

I would recommend Dacre Lakeside Park to others. The lodge we stayed in (Dragonfly Watersedge) was lovely, spacious and modern. The decking area overlooked the large pond which was home to lots of birds and ducks and the hot tub was excellent for relaxing in after a days sightseeing.

I would recommend Dacre Lakeside Park to others as the lodge and the surroundings were excellent. We stayed in the Dragonfly Watersedge lodge, which was lovely, and the hot tub and veranda overlooked the lake. The lodge itself was spacious and modern and the four poster bed and large bath were very nice luxuries. The staff at the park were very helpful and always on hand if we needed anything. We enjoyed visiting the local towns and beaches, Bridlington beach was our favourite. There is a supermarket a short drive away in Beverley, which also has lots of places to eat out. The fish and chip shop which is a couple of minutes from the park was very good - huge portions and good value for money. We also went shopping in Hull city centre which has lots of high street shops. If I had of had more time I would have liked to have visited The Deep, an aquarium in Hull, which I have heard is rather spectacular.

A super location and a lovely, relaxing park. The cabin was decorated and fitted to a high standard and served our family well (2 adults and baby). We had a fantastic time and would definitely return!

The location of the park was ideal for a lazy weekend with the option of venturing to nearby Beverley or Bridlington if a day out was desired. The quality of the accommodation was fantastic and it instantly felt like home. I would definitely recommend the holiday park to others - a superb weekend!

We had a fantastic time! My girlfriend loved the ducks and swans and the accommodation was excellent, roomy, romantic and relaxing. Really quiet and peaceful and the local pub is great quality, the meals are huge and the price is cheap. The weather was not great but it was no problem as there is so much to do - thank you!

A very warm and genuine welcome awaits you at this fantastic and tranquil park, which has excellent village facilities within short walking distance (the local chippy is excellent value). The lodge facilties are second to none from the gorgeous interiors of the lodge to the comfy bed and the excellent hot tub. An excellent choice to spend my hubby's 50th birthday - thank you for a wonderful weekend!

The accommodation is second to none in terms of quality. The pictures on Hoseasons simply do not do the lodge (Dragonfly) justice. I would highly recommend a stay at this park.

For a relaxing stress free break it's by far the most luxurious break I have ever been on in the UK. Will be booking again.
