Site Description for Hoseasons Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges - Nestling at the foot of the dramatic Skiddaw Mountain on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake these superb lodges offer an idyllic setting in one of the Lake District&rsquo - s most gloriously unspoilt areas. Breathtaking views tranquil surroundings and wonderful walks are yours to enjoy.
Historic houses gardens castles monuments museums and many fascinating craft shops and galleries are all within 30 minutes drive of this small and exclusive park which holds the David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation.
There is Wi-Fi available on the park. Fishing (license required Mar 1-Nov 15 &rsquo - 16) a small children&rsquo - s play area a DVD lending library and a launderette* are also available. Private sailing is welcome on park (Mar 31-Oct 31). All other facilities available for all dates except Dec 25 26 and Jan 1. *Charges apply.

I would recommend this park to our friends who wish for a quiet, beautiful unspoilt part of the Lake District. It was lovely visiting the busy towns but so nice to get back to our lovely, quiet lodge with a view to die for!

A beautiful, quiet lakeside situation, perfect for relaxing and visiting the North Lakes.

A peaceful setting right by the lake, a bird lovers paradise. Lovely, clean accommodation, well equipped and spacious. A visit to the osprey viewpoint is a must, make sure you go to the high viewpoint. Everyone we met whilst walking the fells was friendly and willing to share their experiences.

Lovely area for wildlife and scenery, but also close to amenities in Keswick and Windermere.

The location and views are excellent and the park is very relaxing. Keswick and other places of interest such as Grassmere and Ambleside are only a short distance away. There are plenty of friendly hostilries to dine out and many are pet friendly.

If you want a holiday to get away from it all then this is it. The park is set in the most glorious surroundings with fantastic views and no need to leave the park. I have already recommended it to several friends!

Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges is in a beautiful setting, with nice walks around and very quiet. The park owners were very friendly and helpful - we had a great week!
