Villa Accomodation Details:
A unique opportunity to stay within the city walls of the medieval city of Carcassonne. This old medieval city is a UNESCO world heritage site and is a maze of old streets, - restaurants and shops all within walking distance of the apartment. The city is one of the only fully fortified medieval cities left in Europe and receives millions of visitors every year and has been used as a location in many films worldwide. Outside the old city is the larger modern town of Carcassonne with all the usual supermarkets, - shops and facilities. The area is in the centre of a major AOC wine-growing region and so tasting opportunities are numerous and should not be missed. The Canal du Midi runs through the new town and offers enjoyable boat trips down this famous waterway linking the Atlantic to the Mediterranean Sea. Day trips to the Mediterranean beaches at Narbonne plage 73 km. A trip into Narbonne itself is also worth your while with its numerous cultural festivals, - galleries and theatre. International airports: Carcassonne 6 km/Toulouse 105 km. Typical terraced house within the old city with small pleasant courtyard and outside dining chairs, - table and parasol, - ideal for hot summer evenings. The house is built on 2 floors and is situated in a small quiet lane slightly away from the main tourist area. There is one allocated parking space just outside the medieval city which for the most part is traffic free, - however at certain times you can enter with a car to unload. BBQ. Ground floor entrance to a simply furnished living/dining room with TV/DVD. Kitchen with microwave, - dishwasher, - washing machine and freezer. Shower room and sep WC. Stairs to first floor. Bed 1: double. Bed 2: double and a single bed. From the first floor window you can just make out the towers of the famous châ - teau and the courtyard below. Sorry no pets. Cot and highchair on request.
