Villa Accomodation Details:
Popular local restaurant just 20 min walk/3 min drive. Riding stables at Biron and tennis courts 7km away on the road to attractive and unspoilt bastide town of Monpazier, - 10 min drive, - which has weekly market, - a good range of shops and restaurants, - summer events around the arcaded square. Châ - teaux at Biron and Bonaguil also host summer theatre and concert festivals. Market town of Bergerac, - 40 min drive, - well worth a visit for its lovely old town and its reputation as a major wine centre. Area around the property is a very pretty mix of farmland and woods set in rolling hills, - an ideal environment for walking, - riding or cycling. Visit two spectacular châ - teaux on the Dordogne, - Beynac for its stunning views, - Castelnaud opposite, - where &lsquo - medieval warriors&rsquo - demonstrate siege weapons from the 100 Years&rsquo - War. Waterpark at Cahors, - and swimming lakes at Lanquais or Villeré - al, - 20/30 min drive. Some of France&rsquo - s most beautiful medieval buildings and fascinating cave paintings all within easy driving distance. International airport: Bergerac 38 km.
Beautiful and very secluded spot for this lovely spacious stone house, - full of character, - surrounded by a large garden with broad grassy areas, - orchards, - shrubs and specimen trees. Two terraced areas, - one partly roofed by the main porch, - an ideal location to watch out for red squirrels, - deer and birds, - and another shaded by a wisteria-clad pergola for outdoor dining. Pool 11 x 5 x 1-2m depth with security immersion alarm has paved sunbathing area. Table tennis in open barn. Roofed BBQ area is a special feature, - having been adapted from the chimney corner of an ancient cottage.
